Job Purpose:
To attain required knowledge and competence and qualificationsto reach SE2 level after the apprenticeship process
Key Role Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Work diligently towards achievement of qualifications required for apprenticeship.
Work with depot staff to effectively gain on the job knowledge of rolling stock maintenance and repair.
Regularly attend college as required throughout apprenticeship
Successful completion of required college courses to include:- NVQ Level 2PEO (performing engineering operations).
Keyskills.
Engineering NVQ Level 2.
Engineering NVQ Level 3.
ONC in electrical/electronic engineering.
Prescribed number of apprentice logbook entries to achieve level 3 NVQ evidence requirements.
Maintenance and technical courses as required.
Job Requirements:
3 GCSE's or equivalent at Grade ‘C' or above, to include Mathematics and preferably English and a Science.
Assessment
There will be an assessment as part of the recruitment process for this position.
