International Alert is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Project Manager- Good Governance. You will lead, oversee, implement, and provide directions on good governance work of the programme according to the strategic goal of the West Africa Programme, while ensuring the development of projects, advice, provide effective management, coordination, and monitoring some staff

In order to be successful in the role, you have a talent for understanding and analysing practical ways in which governance can be improved and contribute to a more equitable distribution of resources and power in Africa, and develop strategies and projects to enable this change among different stakeholders. And you know how to engage with and influence institutions and staff of international institutions such as intergovernmental bodies and companies, helping them to see new ways of working to meet their own goals and contribute to sustainable peace.

With a relevant post-graduate degree and experience of participatory project development planning, you are also experienced in managing staff. You can draw on your strong analytical, research and writing skills, and have a proven track record of networking.  You enjoy working in a diverse team and contributing to team strategy and expansion. An ability to communicate well in French is also essential.
